Activision has sparked controversy with a significant change to the Battle Pass in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1. Players now receive only 1,100 COD Points upon completing the Battle Pass, down from the previous 1,400. While this amount still covers the cost of the next Battle Pass, it leaves players unable to save extra COD Points for in-game store bundles, frustrating fans.

Since Black Ops 6 launched to great success on October 25, Activision and Treyarch have kept the momentum going with a substantial Season 1 update. The new season introduced fresh multiplayer maps, modes, and significant updates to Call of Duty: Warzone. Both games allow simultaneous leveling of the Battle Pass while diving into the latest seasonal content.

Despite the abundance of new cosmetics and rewards in the Season 1 Battle Pass, players have voiced disappointment over the reduction in COD Points. Previously, completing a Battle Pass in titles like Modern Warfare 3 returned 1,400 COD Points—enough to purchase the next season’s Pass and still have extra for bundles. With the decrease to 1,100 COD Points in Black Ops 6, players no longer have this flexibility. The change, as reported by CharlieIntel, has left many feeling shortchanged.

The backlash has been swift. Fans took to social media, with one Twitter user, JC, calling the move "super lame," while others like Imswaciey encouraged boycotts of the Battle Pass and Blackcell bundles to send a message to Activision. Adding to the discontent, players were also upset about playlist changes, particularly the removal of the popular Stakeout 24/7 playlist, which had been a fan favorite.

Players can explore three new multiplayer maps, with additional maps, weapons, operator skins, and game modes arriving in the mid-season "Season 1 Reloaded" update.
