Pokemon TCG Pocket Players Call for Change to Promo Card Mark Location
Pokemon TCG Pocket players are voicing their frustration over the placement of the blue promo card mark and are calling for it to be relocated. With over 200 cards to collect, including basic, full art, and ex cards, promotional cards are among the most coveted items in the game. These special cards are available through various means, including in-game store purchases and limited-time events.
In the game, there are 24 promo cards from the Genetic Apex set, some of which can be purchased with shop tickets, while others are only available during events. Promo cards obtained through events feature unique illustrations and a blue Pokeball mark on the right-hand side. This placement has sparked dissatisfaction within the community, with many players requesting that the mark be moved.
One vocal player, Redditor ShakeeraIsHot, suggested relocating the mark to the bottom left corner for a cleaner design. While some Redditors pointed out that physical Pokemon TCG promo cards also feature the mark on the right side, the idea received positive feedback from the community, with one player even describing the current location as an "eyesore."

So far, two promo card events have concluded in Pokemon TCG Pocket. The first, focused on the Lapras ex card, ran from early to mid-November and allowed players to earn promo cards for Pikachu, Mankey, Butterfree, and Clefairy by participating in Solo Battles. The second event, the Wonder Pick, ran from late October to mid-November and offered promo cards for Chansey and Meowth, with a special red Chansey mark.
The third event, which began on November 29, brings a Venusaur full-art promo card as the main reward, available until December 13. As part of this event, players can also earn promo cards for Greninja, Haunter, Jigglypuff, and Onix. These cards feature different illustrations, with the Haunter and Jigglypuff cards having slight skill adjustments and lower HP compared to their original versions.
